NEM Rakyat

The Programme NEM Rakyat is designed to cater to domestic consumers with solar PV systems installed in their homes or residences, with the arrangement that these consumers will consume first the energy produced through such systems. Any excess energy produced through the solar PV systems will be exported to the grid through a "one-on-one" offset basis for a term of ten years.The Programme NEM Rakyat has an allocation of 100MWac, and capacity limits of 4kWac for single-phase and 10kWac for three-phase, respectively.

Clear copy of most recent (past 3 months) electricity bills
A clear photo of the supply meter indicating the meter serial number
Clear copy (front and back copies) of MyKad, indicating the same account holder for TNB/SESB
Documents on proof of ownership and right of use, such as the following:
- Land title or sales and purchase agreement
- Lease agreement
ERS NEM quotation proposal; must be signed
SEDA Net Energy Metering (NEM) Application Form, completely filled-up (Part 1A, Section 2.1 and 2.2)
Duly signed SEDA (NEM) Net Energy Metering Application Form (Part 6 Declaration for NEM application)
TNB Net Energy Metering (NEM) Application Form (2 sets; Part 4 NEM Consumer’s Declaration)
Net Energy Metering (NEM) Contract for Rakyat Programme (2 sets, total of 14 pages, with initial indicated at the bottom right corner of each of the pages)
